The Interrupted Movement

Living the interrupted life is a mindset to process daily challenges and serves as a subtle reminder to execute personal discipline with integrity — applying truth to every victory and struggle that we face. Every day, men and women are fighting battles against complacency, apathy, and a natural resistance to change. Living with the interrupted perspective equips men and women to recognize life’s interruptions — from small, daily interruptions to large-scale, life-shaking interruptions — as opportunities to really live, rather than remain stagnant in mundane and ordinary living.

On any given day we do not know what challenges we will face, but the only way to face common fears, such as the fear of a death in the family, a life altering diagnosis or simply the fear of what lies around the corner, is with daily goals. We do not exhibit courage by becoming less afraid, but rather we read, listen, learn, become introspective, and seek the help of others to become more brave and accomplish tasks and challenges that at one time we believed were beyond our physical and mental abilities.

Having the courage to respond to interruptions will allow you to see the opportunities that have been placed in front of you. If you believe an interruption is an inconvenience and a barrier to your goals you will likely walk through life disappointed and with little satisfaction. Remaining disciplined when motivation is gone, allows you to respond effectively and swiftly to each interruption that you find yourself facing. Find others to hold you accountable and become more disciplined so that you may pursue what your pressing hard after.

I trust that The Interrupted Podcast, Interrupted Outdoors, and the Interrupted Man Community will encourage you, push you, and teach you that with truth, integrity, and discipline you can courageously fight the battles of life and become the man or woman that you were designed to be. Do not settle for a comfortable life, but strive to be a person of great influence in your community.
